Many factors limit access to transit, including dangerous streets and lack of basic infrastructure amenities like sidewalks, streetlights, crosswalks, and shelters or benches at transit stops - to name a few. For a genuinely equitable system, transit riders and operators deserve to use a system that takes their safety seriously.
