The countdown for National Transit Equity Day on Friday, February 4 has begun! Transit Equity Day symbolizes the importance of equal access to transit for ALL people. February 4, the birthday of Rosa Parks, was chosen by The Labor Network for Sustainability because of her defiance in the face of adversity and racism. Each day leading up to February 4, we will be sharing one of our Transit Equity Principles to highlight the importance of equitable, sustainable, affordable, readily available, economically productive, attractive, safe and accessible transit for everyone.
